An American family Christmas in London

A fabulous old apartment on the first floor of a Portland stone building overlooking one of London’s most beautiful garden squares. The interiors of the apartment are softly coloured and pale, so garlands on the fireplaces and the huge vase of flowers in the entrance hall make an instant impact. She also uses scented candles of different sizes all over the apartment. The family entertain friends the week before Christmas and celebrate on the 24th and 25th December. On the 26th they go skiing for a week, usually in Cortina but when they return everything still looks fresh and festive.
