18th century Oxfordshire coach house conversion

Hugh and Anne Millais’ home is a converted coach house that occupies one side of an eighteenth century stable block situated on a large country estate in Oxfordshire. The couple are a well established interior design team. Hugh is the great grandson of the Sir John Everett Millais, the eminent Pre-Raphaelite artist, grandson of a famous naturalist and illustrator and son of Raoul Millais, the equestrian painter. The conversion of the coach house took Hugh and Anne some two years to complete. "We tried to retain the character of the original eighteenth century building whilst bringing it up to date in terms of comfort and convenience
