Olympia Stadium

1928 Olympic Stadium in St.Moritz

The well-known London-based industrial designer, interior designer and artist Rolf Sachs has recently moved into his new holiday home in St Moritz. Rolf has spent winters in St Moritz since his early childhood and has always been aware of this strange pink building overlooking the lake and the village. It has always been known as the Olympic Stadium; it was built as a spectator stand and refereeing centre for the 1928 Olympic Winter Games and then used again for the same purpose for the Games in 1948.
