Exceptional Brussels

Brussels apartment with exceptional views

This light and airy apartment with exceptional views has been built on top of a 1910 house in Brussels, Belgium. The owners, who are property developers and specialists in lofts and attics, saw the potential to convert a few small attic rooms into a spacious 3-bed property on two levels with a terrace stretching right across the whole house. The apartment structure is all made of wood to lessen the weight on the building. Inside they took inspiration from the beach, the colours of the Baltic with a touch of Baroque seen in antique gilt picture frames. The eclectic furnishings range from an industrial trolley used as a centre table to gently faded kilims, Gustavian pieces, an antique bed bought in Arrezo and an Ikea kitchen. This apartment has great charm - its design is original and makes very good use of a tight space proving that experience and knowledge of the building business is invaluable.
