Cornwell Manor has the reputation of being one of the prettiest houses in England and was the childhood home of Al Ward and his two sisters, Rachel and Tracey. Al witnessed the house change during the seventies as his stepmother set about ‘modernising’ the décor. Though Al left home, he never strayed far, living on farm on the estate. When his father died two years ago, Al moved back into the house with his girlfriend, Melanie Fall. Instead of stamping a new look on the house, the couple decided to keep the house intact, apart from their bedroom and a small private sitting room. Today Cornwell Manor is a delightful, traditional English country house of immutable charm.
