Return to the beach

Transformation of a 1930's mock Tudor house in West Sussex

Having lived in a property directly on the beach, and then moved inland to a market town, artist Sue Green missed the clear magical light and sound of the waves crashing onto the shore so much that she decided to make a U-turn and relocate back to the coast. After biding their time, Sue and her husband snapped up a roomy 1930s property - just a stone’s throw from her previous house. Over the years, the couple have transformed it from a dark, mock-Tudor property into a light-filled home, complete with an airy studio where Sue relishes painting her seascapes.
